Sharp Park Beach (historically Salada Beach)
This beach is right out your front door! Stretching about 3/4 of a mile from the Pier to Mori Point you'll see the gorgeous dark sands of this popular beach. There is also a great walking/running trail that runs parallel to the beach and is part of the the California Coastal Trail. Great area for a gentle stroll or a more vigorous run.
Fort Funston
Located a very short 10 min drive north, Fort Funston is one of the most scenic beaches in the Bay Area due to the high bluffs above the beach that offer sweeping views for miles. If you've never seen hang gliders jump off cliffs into the wind this beach is worth a visit. Be aware the stairway path down to the beach is easy to navigate and use but it does require some cardio work getting back up to the parking area.
Montara State Beach
Just a short 10 min drive south on Highway 1, Montara State Beach is one of the best in the area especially on sunny days. With wide expanses of sand and easy access from the road it is a local favorite for families and beginner surfers and boogie boarders.
Highway 1 from Pacifica to Santa Cruz
This section of the Pacific Coast Highway (Highway 1) is a fantastic drive for unspoiled ocean views. Stop at one of several quaint sea-side towns, including Half Moon Bay, Pescadero and Davenport.
Mori Point
One of the best hikes in Pacifica offering absolutely stunning views of the surrounding coastline. Walking distance from your place! This is a fairly easy hike and suitable for children.
Linda Mar Beach
Beginner surfers come from miles around to this stretch of beach just north of Pedro Point. Partially protected from the wind, the break here is usually fairly forgiving.

World famous brand and surf shop right here in Pacifica! This shop offers board rentals, lessons, wet suits, and of course lots of clothing and hats with the iconic Nor Cal logo.
San Francisco Whale Tours
Highly rated tour that leaves from Pier 39 in San Francisco. Drive time is about 30 mins from your place in Pacifica.
Tour is about 2 1/2 hours total includes amazing trip under the Golden Gate Bridge. Safe for kids.
Sharp Park Golf Course
Sharp Park Golf Course is an historic seaside links, designed by the preeminent architect Alister MacKenzie, who also designed Augusta National (home of the Masters Tournament), Cypress Point, and many of the world’s most esteemed courses. Sharp Park is one of MacKenzie’s rare public links. Often called “The Poor Man’s Pebble Beach,” the par 72 course is 6,300 yards long and offers fabulous views of the Pacific Ocean and surrounding headlands and mountains. In 2014, Golfweek Magazine named Sharp Park (along with Harding Park) as among America’s 50 Greatest Municipal Courses.
Pacifica Pier
Right out your front door the Pacifica pier is a well known spot for local anglers. Some of the fish targeted here include surfperch, flounder, lingcod, striped bass, and even salmon during the run. No fishing license is required.
New Coastside Bait & Tackle
Best bait and tackle shop in Pacifica. Walking distance from your unit, this is a great place to rent a rod and tackle and also get great tips on fishing for the season.
